Now usually art doesn’t really move me. I’ve seen the original Mona Lisa in Paris amongst other pieces of work, but this piece by Mexican artist Diego Rivera got me. Look at this amazing mural. You can see post Hispanic Mexico starting right in front of you. The African slaves being unloaded, ingenious people trying to survive and the Spanish conquerors… But then you see that baby who is not totally African, Spanish or indigenious. Essentially, the beginning of Latin America as we know it. Amazing… Anthony Hill, SUNY Brockport
